  • Comprehensive training, education and support for management of diabetes adapted to patient requirements and patient/family education level.
  • Individualized information about prescribed medications: how each medication works, their glucose lowering effect, frequent adverse events and alternative options, etc.
  • Advice on the treatment and avoidance of hypoglycaemia.
  • Blood glucose monitoring training and assessment. Our patients should be able to know what is normal in each situation and how to react to abnormal glucose readings.
  • We offer, free of charge for our patients, a 24h/365d contact line for emergencies and diabetes crisis
  • Most updated information on diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, pancreas/islet transplantation and any other subject that the patient or we consider can benefit their health.
  • Support and education in activities such as sport, travel, hobbies or holidays. We provide certificates and medical reports for travelling abroad.
  • Specialised consultation on diet and nutrition.
  • Integrated management with related specialist including: ophthalmology, cancer services, cardiology, renal disease, vascular surgery, radiology, etc. inside and outside Spain NHS.
  • Collaboration with diabetes specialists from other Countries (USA, UK) in order to get a second medical opinion or to grant access to drugs or devices not yet available in Spain.
  • Adult vaccinations (flu, pneumonia).
  • Preventive check-ups.

  • Detailed case history and Physical examination.
  • Ankle-Braquial Index (ABI).
  • Diabetic Foot Evaluation.
  • Former Medical reports, Laboratory and X-ray test evaluation.
  • A1c and Microalbuminuria tests in situ.
  • Electrocardiogram.
  • Retinography.
  • Diagnosis explanation.
  • Detailed instructions about the Therapy, most frequent secondary effects and alternative options.
  • If intensive insulin therapy, instructions about injection technique, carbohydrate counting, correction and sensitivity factors.
  • Diabetes Education as required for the patent and their family.
  • Flu / Pneumonia vaccine injection if required.
  • Usually we have Glucometers and books to register glucose and blood pressure to be provided free of charge to our patients.



We are proud to spend with each patient the time needed. Be understanding if you need to wait a bit for another complicated patient attended before you. If you have a busy agenda, it is a good idea to book earlier in the day.

Patients with painful complications and children with Type 1 Diabetes onset are always consider as a priority – we will do our utmost to fit you in on the same or next day.
